The South Hempstead Fire Department is inviting the community to participate in a life-saving educational opportunity this month. On September 20th at 11:00 AM, the department will host a “Stop the Bleed” and CPR training session at 555 May Street in South Hempstead.
This hands-on course is designed to provide everyday citizens with the skills to respond effectively during emergency situations. Participants will learn how to control severe bleeding, administer CPR, and take confident action when every second counts. The training is open to all — no prior experience is required.
“Emergencies can happen anywhere — at home, work, school, or in the community,” said members of the department. “Knowing how to respond can save a life before first responders arrive.”
Those interested in attending are encouraged to register online to secure a spot and ensure adequate training materials are available for all participants.
