Do You Have What It Takes?
We’re looking for individuals who are ready to step up and serve. Here’s what it takes to become a South Hempstead Firefighter or EMS Provider:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be in good health and physically capable of performing the duties required
- Pass a medical examination by department-approved physicians
- Successfully complete a background check
- Be willing to attend a percentage of emergency calls, trainings, meetings, and department functions
