Chief 7401 and Engine 741 responded to a working fire in Hempstead on Sunday morning, April 6th, 2025, providing mutual aid and support alongside neighboring departments.

In the early hours of February 2, 2025, the South Hempstead Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on the Southern State Parkway. A wrong-way driver was arrested, and multiple individuals were transported to area hospitals.

On December 13th, Chief 7401 and Engine 741 responded to a working fire in Hempstead. Engine 741, fully staffed, was on the road within three minutes of dispatch to assist in fire suppression efforts.
